I am a Shetlander born and bred,my parents were crofters but with ever changing market forces crofting is an unprofitable business now.Since the Covid pandemic there has been an increase in camping holidays in Shetland and at times more than Campsites could cope with

Respect the surrounding area do not climb over fences, close gates, keep dogs under control especially if there is livestock in the fields

Two gravel spaces suitable for caravans or campervans,approx 1/4 acre field suitable for tents
Things to know
This is a crofting community so there may be movements of farm vehicles,sheep. Dogs are welcome but must be kept under control,respect the countryside and keep it clean

Two local shops with Post Offices,fuel pumps,a cafe with art gallery,secondhand book shop, jewellery shop, beaches suitable for swimming. During the summer there are various boat trips when you can see the many seabirds,seals,dolphins and occasionally orcas
