What's on our doorstep?
We are a few minutes walk away from National Trust property A La Ronde, and are on the East Devon Trail footpath and very close to the cyclepath that goes along the Exe Estuary from Topsham to Exmouth. Exmouth is blessed with 2.5 miles of sandy beach with a beautiful coastal path extending along the Jurassic coast, safe watersports, estuary boat trips, water taxi to Starcross, excellent bus and train services (the Avocet Line being one of the most picturesque routes in England) with a bus stop only 60 yards away. Convenience stores and local post office a short level walk away. The Exe is famous for it's wildfowl feeding at low tide. 8 miles away from the cathedral city of Exeter.
Joans communication was second to none and offered me more than advertised. Well worth the stopover.
